Small motor development
Working on writing skills by strengthening fine motor development through activities such as play dough, manipulative, scissors, art activities; as well as writing tools such as pencils, markers and crayons
Writing own name and some letters

Large motor development
working on coordination, through running, hopping, galloping, climbing, swinging, balls, bean bags etc.

Cognitive Development
1. Literacy
To develop an appreciation for the written word , by being read to and by looking at books independently
Recognize letters and letter sounds. (though the use of Zoo Phonics).

Rote counting to 20 (we do our number line as a group to 100 by the end of the year)

3. Science
Learning to investigate the world around them, through small group activities, circle time, our themes and through center activities
We hope to develop a love for questioning WHY something happens

4. Social studies
Learning about our community and family
Learning about our country as well as other countries of the world
Learning about celebrations in America and other countries
